ALEXANDRIA AGAIN AND FOREVER
Alexandria, Again and Forever is a curated visual project and auction catalog that reimagines how antiquities are presented and perceived. Rooted in the rich, layered history of Alexandria and the surrounding Nile Delta, the project traverses centuries of civilization—from ancient Egyptian dynasties to the Hellenistic era of Alexander the Great, and onward to Roman rule. Through a luxury storytelling approach, the catalog elevates rare artifacts—including coins, marble sculptures, bronze relics, and funerary objects—by contextualizing each piece within its historical narrative. Rather than a traditional inventory, this project invites viewers to experience the voice of each object, transforming the catalog into a vessel of cultural memory and sophisticated marketing.
THE EAGLE AND THE ROSE
This archaeological catalogue was developed as a visual and curatorial experiment for a museum exhibition, focusing on Rome’s imperial presence in Petra following the fall of the Nabataean Kingdom. Often overlooked in mainstream historical narratives, the Roman chapter of Petra’s story reveals a striking cultural fusion between the empire’s classical influence and the distinct identity of the Arabian desert. The catalogue explores this unique intersection through sculptures, artifacts, and coins minted in Petra during the 1st to 3rd centuries AD—highlighting the Romanization of architectural forms, decorative motifs, and political iconography. By tracing events such as Emperor Trajan’s annexation of Nabataea and Petra’s elevation to a Roman city, the project repositions Petra not just as an ancient Nabataean wonder, but as a forgotten yet vital fragment of Roman imperial history.
